This afternoon, our 4th–8th grade band students held their final dress rehearsal in preparation for this evening’s concert. The musicians performed in front of a live audience of elementary students, providing a wonderful opportunity to practice in front of a crowd while giving our younger students an inspiring look at our instrumental music program. We look forward to seeing our community at tonight's formal performance!

This week, students utilized their science journals to record detailed, real-time observations and draft labeled diagrams of the seed germination process.

Our fourth graders got a taste of agriculture in NH today when they visited Bird Dog Farm and Cidery right here in Greenland. Engaging directly with local agricultural experts, students explored a variety of essential farming practices, including apple orchard management, dahlia cultivation, livestock care, and beekeeping. This experience offered insights into New Hampshire’s agricultural ecosystem and the dedication required to run an organic local farm.

Third-grade students are beginning to explore the concept of division. By utilizing concrete manipulatives, these 3rd students are able to visualize and physically manipulate numbers to build a foundational understanding of equal sharing and grouping.

Our new Intro to Piano encore class is officially underway, thanks to the incredible generosity of the GPO. They lovingly gifted these new keyboards in honor of Lavender, bringing a beautiful new way for our students to create, learn, and grow. Thank you, GPO, for investing in our students' creativity and keeping a beautiful legacy alive.

From learning proper finger placement to mastering their first songs, our middle school Guitar and Ukulele students are filling the halls with music.

Our middle school students recently participated in an interactive educational program developed and facilitated by the Black Heritage Trail of New Hampshire. This program focused on the life of Ona Judge, a courageous woman who escaped enslavement from the household of George Washington to live a life of freedom right here in Greenland. Students explored her courage, her ties to our community, and her lasting impact on the pursuit of freedom.
